be a better father

I need to purchase a comforter and get her room ready before she comes. she’ll be here friday!

She’ll be here for about 11 days! Not very long, but any time is good time. She’ll be back in June, after school gets out.

I am still trying to talk my ex-wife into coming to live in the state that I reside. I think she is leaning towards coming, but I think she believes this will be a reconciliation as well. If they do not decide to come out here, I’ll have no choice but to move back to Cali. I miss her dearly.

This was the first Christmas in three years that I spent with my daughter. It was wonderful. She’s 11-years-old now and still a daddy’s girl and thank god, still sweet and innocent. I have somewhat talked her mother, my ex-wife, into moving back to the state that I currently reside. That would be a dream come true.

I have not text my daughter in a few days. I am letting other things that are falling apart in my life effect my relationship with my daughter. I have made a promise to myself that this will not happen again.
She usually doesn’t text me on the weekend, because she is spending time with her mom and is allowed to stay up late, or she is spending a night over one of her freinds houses. So, I will start communicating with her more starting Monday.

The past few weeks or so my daughter(9) and I have a new routine, we text message each other right before she goes to bed. The converstation is always the same, and it always concludes by her saying, “tell me a joke.” I quickly look up a silly kid joke online, unbenounced to her of of course, then she, “LOL.” We exchange I love you’s, goodnight’s, and off to bed she goes.
