i am now under 100 pages to go…wow…was going to try to finish last night but fell asleep. should be today sometime :-)
on the plane ride to france next wednesday if i havent finished it before then.
still trying to break page 800, but were back on the battlefield now and for some reason that is tougher reading.
have now been together for over 760 pages. halfway to the finish line.
this is such an amzing story. i cant believe i have never read it before.
fully intending to make serious progress, but i was just w&p’d out. could only read a few pages and then i ended up reading atlanta magazine, the harvard business review, creative atlanta. anything.
guess i just needed a break. more progress before bed tonight.
i think this is the most inredible book i have ever read. still its hard to get my arms around the idea that at over 600 pages i am still not halfway done.
will bolkonsky marry natasha is my biggest question right now? i feel like i am living with these people.
...fascinating novel. it so long because tolstoy catches every little detail of human interaction. little moments that are so real, that most authors would just ignore that really bring the humanity of the characters to life.
