a blog that covers local music here in atlanta, http://cableandtweed.blogspot.com/">cable and tweed has been organizing a series of ‘mix tapes’ covering various genres of atlana music all week. they are really good and i am discovering some good bands listening to them.

listening to them on the advice of someone with impeccable taste in music. very good. they were described to me as pj harvey fronting sonic youth. which has turned out to be pretty apt.

as an aside – what is that thrill with discovering an awesome new band. there is just something so cool about it, isn’t there?

awesome band…on saddle creek records. and the lead singer is the former girl actress from tropp beverly hills.

all in all i suppose forming an indie band is a better task for a former child star than knocking over video stores or doing porn.

that being said, i am right now, back to oldies but goodies, the talking heads :-)
