Take a wine tasting class

so the second half of the warwick wine society is also the whisky society. i was goaded into attending tonight and really, i try to be fair and objective, and in my calm objective opinion, whisky does not taste good.

but i did learn about single and double malts, scotch whisky and percentages, the aromas and tastings and smells. it was like an extension to my long day of marxism and modernism seminar and research methods module. kinda like my alternative education. so even though the taste is disgusting, the education is priceless:0)

went fantastically. just an intro into how much i don’t know about wine…the seminars start properly next week, but i did learn that you swirl the wine in the glass as a means of decanting the flavor thus aerating the taste.

warwick uni has a whisky and wine tasting society. since i’ve been grantd one more glimpse into my youth with this MA programme, i’m going to do it. it starts next wednesday!
