knit a baby blanket

It’s about halfway done. We were out of town for the shower, so I figure I have until the baby’s born to complete it. This is great mindless knitting, but it’s almost too mindless. It’s pretty and soft, though, and every baby deserves to be surrounded by handknits.

Shower’s at the end of the month. I bought some Homespun on sale at Michael’s yesterday in a buttery yellow. I’m doing it on the diagonal with the pretty eyelet at the sides. Knitting doesn’t get more mindless than this, so I should be able to finish in plenty of time, if I don’t get distracted by the other five projects I have on needles.
