I’ve succeeded instead in doing a yoga or pilates dvd at 1pm in the afternoon while the kids are down for their rest. I don’t get jumped on, AND I get peace and quiet. I still want to get up early in the morning, but depending on the night I’ve had, it can be hard. So, as with anything – and especially yoga – I’m being flexible about the times that I fit it in. :-)

I got up at 6am this morning, 1 hour before the kids are usually up, and practised my beginners’ yoga DVD. Unbelievable – I actually got up! (set 2 alarms LOL).
I really enjoyed it, and it limbered up and stretched parts of me that I’d forgotten about! DD4 woke as I was finishing and so I encouraged her to try some of the stretches if she wanted to. She giggled and did some poses – so cute. And now I feel I’ve begun my day with peacefulness. :-)
I’d like to start doing yoga as part of my morning routine before the kids get up. Some me-time. This way I can start my day with a little stretching and exercise and calmness. I’ve got a beginner’s dvd which I’m looking forward to doing tomorrow! :-)
