Love After Love
by Derek Walcott
The time will come
when, with elation
you will greet yourself arriving
at your own door, in your own mirror
and each will smile at the other’s welcome,
and say, sit here. Eat.
You will love again the stranger who was your self.
Give wine. Give bread. Give back your heart
to itself, to the stranger who has loved you
all your life, whom you ignored
for another, who knows you by heart.
Take down the love letters from the bookshelf,
the photographs, the desperate notes,
peel your own image from the mirror.
Sit. Feast on your life.

Road to zion..
Embracing myself fully has taken alot. Sometimes I don’t really understand why..I was raised to do for people and early on I realized that some take that kindness for weakness. I want to focus on my love for self. My goals for self.
Those goals include sharing any knowledge I have with my community. To be engaged in life…but I can not truly help other people until I love all of me. To live a full life no matter what others have to say about it. Facing this adversity has made me stronger than I originally thought. I have been thru to much not to put the Most High and myself first.
Peace
