Hit all green lights on my way to work this am.
Not really diggin’ Mr. Universe right now. Can’t say I’m doing real well on this goal. I’m still trying but it’s difficult to stay positive.
I have written recently about my new apartment, my new job in my new city. The day I started my new job (yesterday), I walked into the office only to find my boss waiting for me to tell me she is going to start me in a higher position, and give me $1/hr more! I was elated!
Since my last entry, 2 weeks ago, I have been working hard and had a lot of help from my Mr. Universe. It seems that cute ol’ sap has had a crush on me the past 2 weeks. Everything seems to be falling into place. I move into my new apartment on Tuesday, I got hired for my new job this afternoon (it was the one I REALLY wanted.) My kids are happy and adjusting well, daycare is set up, even though it costs $250/wk. I just got a call while I was typing this from my caseworker saying that they will help me buy food for my apartment for the month of November since I have been out of work and won’t have a paycheck coming for another 3 weeks. I cannot express the happiness I have had the past 2 weeks in starting my life. I have been living under someone else’s thumb for the past 10 years and now, finally, I can live the way I want to. Thank you Mr. Universe. Thank you God for my angels.
In deciding to leave my bf, I was having trouble figuring out how to get out while paying all the bills. My aunt and uncle decided to lend me a helping hand. As I type, I’m sitting at their computer in their home with my children. They have paid to liscense my car, insure my car for 6 months and are letting me stay here until I can find a new job and a place to live. I think credit to these wonderful angels goes to God, not Mr. Universe. But I’m thinking, maybe they are one and the same. Thanks, God.
Last night I was driving home and wanted to listen to a specific cassette tape. It was one of those moments where you are feeling good and you just want to sing. I was playing out my own version of Jerry McGuire driving in the car flipping through the radio stations. I just couldn’t find that one song I could belt out at the top of my lungs. So I went in search of my tape and noticed they were all in the cubby of the passenger door. Feeling a little bummed, I decided to look in a secondary cubby of my door, where I never keep tapes and never look for tapes. There it was, my favorite tape with the perfect song cued for my enjoyment. Thanks Mr. Universe.
today i went to get a much needed dr.pepper, so i made a mad dash for the soda machine and threw my 55 cents down it’s throat. I push the magical button and whadaya know…out pops 2 Dr. Peppers! The funny thing is, I don’t even have to feel guilty about keeping the second one because earlier this month, the machine I’ve come to know as Dolly, my bestest girl friend, ate my money and deprived me of my magical doc. :-)
yesterday I lost my debit card but needed gas. I was on “E” and had a 30 minute commute home. I had $5 cash and brought no lunch. I looked and looked but all I had was $5. When I went into my wallet later, I found a twenty. Just in the nick of time to go home. Thanks Mr. Universe.
