I went out to eat at a local diner today. It’s been in town for several years, but I have never eaten there. Husband and I went today. It was pretty good. The waitress was friendly. The food was good and about the same price we pay for fast food. I’ll probably go back sometime.

Last night I went to a wedding. I have never been to a weekday wedding before. One that was actually in a church. It was my husband’s cousin’s wedding. It wasn’t very organized and it there wasn’t a lot of people, but it was nice. He chose that day because it is his dad’s birthday.
I also ate red beans and rice for the first (and probably last) time. The smell was really getting to me as I was cooking it, but I tried eating it, I just couldn’t. Don’t like the beans, rice, or sauce.
Saturday husband and I visited Perryville Battlefield. It was the first time I had ever been there. It was a beautiful day and the landscape was pretty, but I didn’t care much for the place. It was nice enough, but all the markers were so far spread out, we didn’t try to get to them all. Just a lot of walking through fields and reading signs.
Food wise I have had a couple of different types of chocolate I had never heard of, didn’t care for them, but they were dark chocolate, which I don’t like. Cooked a cheesy tuna pasta thing, not great. My husband said tuna and cheese just don’t go together. Just used a new recipe for bread in the bread machine. Still tasted about the same as all the others.
I was watching The Middle and in it the family went to a fair. It made me think about this goal and whether I added it or not, turns out I haven’t.
July 4 I went to the county fair for the very first time. I watched a Truck and Tractor Pull for the first time. I didn’t have an enjoyable evening for a couple of reasons, but I experienced new things.
I also ate funnel cake for the first time. I didn’t even know what it was at first. My husband’s cousin and her husband had a big plate of it and couldn’t finish and asked if we wanted it. I didn’t know what it was, I add to ask. But I ate a bit. Very sweet, but it was alright.
Apfelpfannekuchen (Apple Pancake)
We made this at work as part of our cultures week. This one was for Germany. Basically pancakes with cinnamon and apples. I didn’t much care for the apples.
We also made Mexican Hot Chocolate which was a first. But that recipe was just hot chocolate with cinnamon added.
I also got to touch a dog shark which was cool
Experienced quite a few things.
Indiana where I seen the zoo, Crown Hill Cemetery, and Muscatatuck Wildlife Refuge.
Louisville, Kentucky, I have been there before but I went to the Zachary Taylor National Cemetery which was new.
I seen 2 presidents graves this weekend (Benjamin Harrison and Zachary Taylor), first time I have ever seen one.
Saw dolphins for the first time and it was great.
Ate at Denny’s for the very first time (we don’t have any near where I live), but it was nothing special.
Experienced a jacuzzi for the first time. We had gotten a room with one, but it would not work. So we just used it as a giant tub to soak in a bubble bath together. The last morning as we were about to leave I was going to dry my hair and it would not work. So we hit the reset button on the plug in and the jacuzzi popped on. I had to use the reset and test button on the plug in to get it on and off. But we tried it out. I wasn’t really impressed. I thought it was going to be something nice and relaxing, but it wasn’t really special. And everywhere the water hit me would just make me start itching.
