Cook Thanksgiving dinner

Well my roommate’s parents came up to do it for us. So I guess there goes my shot. There’s always next year, but for this year, I give up.

It doesn’t look like I’m going to get to cook this year. I thought my roommate was leaving and I was just going to cook for my boyfriend and I. Now her parents are coming up and they are cooking us turkey and whatnot. I’m actually very disappointed. I was really looking forward to cooking my first turkey.

Oh well. Next year I will have my own apartment and I will cook for sure. I hope.

Last year I just made the pie for dessert while my roommate cooked most of everything else. This year I’m going for it. I’m buying a turkey tomorrow, I’ll mash up some potatoes, maybe make some corn. Apple pie for dessert because no one I’m cooking for likes pumpkin. I’ll probably buy the gravy, but that’s just to make sure that I have enough. I don’t think I’ll make stuffing, because frankly I don’t like it. Corn is the only veggie I really enjoy all that much, so corn it is! Ooooh, and rolls!
