learn how to type fast without looking at the keyboard

I downloaded the trial version of Typing Master Pro. I am halfway through the first lesson (basically, just drills) and I discovered that even though I can type 50 something wpm with my made-up fingering, I can only type about 12 wpm while only typing drills on the home row with the proper finger positioning. Sad. But I did two drills yesterday and two drills today! I’m kinda having fun challenging myself to type properly. I think I will pay for the full version of the software, if I can afford it. I like it so far.

I have been typing for over 15 years, but started out with the peck-the keys-with two fingers style, and graduated up to using about six or seven fingers now in this weird adaptation I have made up. I need to learn typing the correct way. I type all day at work now, so it would really benefit me to learn how to do it properly.
