1998 – classmates who never spoke to each other. [although he confessed he had a crush on me that year]

1999 – went separate ways when we both switched schools. never thought much about him since.

2000 – no thoughts about him.

2001 – one mention of him during a gossip session with a friend.

2002 – found a fascinating blog but with an anonymous author.

2003 – author of said fascinating blog stopped updating.

2004 – would refer to bookmarked blog from time to time, wondering constantly who he was. was bordering on severe internet crush on somebody i hardly even know/have never seen/have no idea of who he was, based only on his words.

2005 – received an out-of-the-blue email from an ex-classmate who found me through friendster. through manic email-swapping, it was revealed that he was THAT anonymous author of THAT blog. this was followed with other serendiptious coincidences. flirting which had ensued evolved into a full-blown romance. now i’m just waiting to go home and see him.

a 21st century love predicament.

it’s the long distance relationship aided by internet technology.

we share everything we have, our thoughts, our souls and our dreams. but what i’d really like to share is the same bed, the same straw out of a banana smoothie, and sharing a life together.

i’m in like with someone. it’s a start.
