I did it!

I persevered and I paid it all off by July 2012!! I’m so proud of me! One of the nest achievements in my life so far. It’s great saving!

YES!

I will be debt-free on the 28th June 2012!! One day to go! I made it! I completed a my long-term goal. Can’t believe it!!

Well on target!

This is so cool. I planned to be debt-free on this date about four years ago, when I was penniless and in-between jobs! Look how far I’ve come! I’m so proud of myself for having made this work!!

Yes I'm on the way to achieving this

Still going -this has been a long-term goal and I’m on the way to achieving it!!

YAY - I'm on my way!

Paying off large chunks each month. Decided on an amount I could pay each month, but also just afforded a fantastic holiday. Feel really happy about this goal. At this rate I will achieve this goal by June next year. Really happy – did I say that already?!!! Moved one sizeable debt to a 0% interest card last month, so I have virtually no interest due on my debt.

This goal...

...is moving nicely. Paying off a sizeable chunk every month now. Thanks to my new job ;-)

I'm trying

to find a housemate… at least I’ve pulled the finger out of my arse now.
I’ve advertised on a couple of familiar rental websites, I’ve asked to put an advert on one company’s Intranet.
I’d like to print off some copies and take them to the big local employers to see if I can put them on their noticeboards.

GAWD

I’m meant to be renting a place from January that I can’t afford. Cos I can’t find a housemate in time. I’ve more or less commited yet I know that paying off my credit card debt is the most important priority for me. I’m feeling really stressed about that.
It’s a good place – location, facilities, shops, publis transport and it’s busy. There’s stuff to do – places to go out. Clubs to join and stuff to do in the evenings if I want. It’s closer to family and it’s easy to commute to work. Yet it’s expensive – only because I can’t find someone to share with.
I will have to cripple myself in January to secure this house – and I guess when another person moves in I can claim back half of the full deposit and rent that I originally paid.

Yeah...

...this is DEFINITELY gonna happen!!!

On my way there

Yeah, so I have got myself another job which pays a lot more and I’m renting accommodation which costs exactly the same as my previous accommodation! The cost includes bills though (as far as I’m aware). So it’s cheaper.
Transport costs will be less too (I’m hoping to use public transport for the next two months).
So I’m hoping to pay off a bigger chunk of my credit card debt each month – at least for the next 6 months (the duration of my new job contract). Ideally I want to pay £3000 in the next 6 monthx.
At this rate I will have paid off my credit card debt in just over a years time.
And that will tie in nicely with my desire to travel abroad and visit my relatives again. I would also like to work abroad for some time – which will come after I have gained more useful experience from my new job.
