and good fortune, and lo and behold just found out my dear grandad who died last year has left money to my parents which just came through, and they have decided to split it between my two brother’s and I. I’m so happy that it feels he’s all around me with an interest in my future.
He wasn’t my blood relative but is the only grandad I can remember having and that’s what matters. Dear man.

Last night my husband and I wanted to watch a movie, so I went to our stack of DVDs that were free on the Independent (newspaper) and we had not yet watched, the one I selected was ‘Like Water for Chocolate’ (Como agua para chocolate) and we felt we recognised the female lead, Lumi Cavazos so when it was finished we looked her up on the Internet Movie Database site.

Turned out we didn’t know her from anything in particular, but she had ‘appeared’ in an episode of Friends, where they had been watching a Spanish TV show, ‘Tres Destinos’. We couldn’t remember it, but I remember thinking how I would like to see that for myself, see the clip of her on the Spanish TV show.

Now get this – today, watched a video with my daughter then when I turned it off there was an episode of Friends had just begun on Channel 4 (UK) – it was that very same episode, in fact it was the Pilot of Friends! We saw the short clip, saw the actress, and for the rest of the day I have been in awe of this great example of synchronicity! I am so thankful that I got the chance to see it, I never dreamed I would not have to wait!

After about two weeks of worrying about a missing wire from an underwired bra of mine being stuck in my washer dryer (front loader)and causing all kinds of problems, engineer call-outs, expensive bills (not insured) today I started to think positively about the situation. I stood at the kitchen sink as it whirred round and round, thinking how I had not heard it clunking in the washer’s drum today, I started to picture it working it’s way into the lint trap but had to dismiss ideas that I was thinking the impossible, so I left it at that – it might happen, that would be nice.

Well I was just getting ready for bed, emptied the laundry, checked the drum for poking bits of wire, then I thought it is probably about time I emptied the lint trap (I’d actually forgotten about my earlier thoughts, I simply keep on top of my lint trap!) Strange – it won’t pull out… Wow – could it really be possible? Eventually I wiggled it out a little and saw sideways on the curve of a piece of wire, and I hooked it out with my finger. Part had snapped off and was in the lint trap, the largest piece was poking through one side and out the other, sideways on to the quite narrow lint trap recepticle tube type thing that is fixed into the washer dryer.

How cool is that? What may sound like a minor worry was actually really bothering me, and I really believe my different way of thinking enabled this to sort itself out for me.
