meet new people in Jakarta

Whoa … this is totally unexpected. Not long after that, I got a call from another friend of mine who, apparently, was my primary school’s friend. Didn’t recall much, but he said we did work together on some projects back then. Looked at his picture and all that, still didn’t ring a bell. Until i actually met him. But somewhow the memory still blurred.

Turned out, he was a pretty cool guy. I’m glad he called.

Sometimes things happen so far from our plan, yet turns out to be even better.

I just got a message at my friendster, from this person … who said that we knew each other. It started back then at 1999 when mIRC was such a big hit, then we started to know each other, we even send pictures! But i can’t recall …. the information he gave me really didn’t ring a bell :| But he remembered a lot about me though. Feel bad.

Apparently, he was studying overseas too, and at the moment, he’s already back home and same with me, enjoying his time! lol … well, one more friend here. Just come out of the blue …. life is weird, yet full with surprises!

I’ve been in Jakarta for the past year, and the nature of my job is really surrounded by kids and their parents, which are fun, I have to admit. But, it really made my social network smaller and smaller …. especially that I haven’t been living here for ages! I’m starting to lose my touch of how to get along with people …. I guess i’m quite lucky with a few friends around, but still, i’d like to meet some more new people.

My job really occupies most of my time, and the traffic in Jakarta is just HECTIC and crazyyy … so i really have little time to other things. Beside, it’s not so much of the culture of going to the bookstore or a club and meet new people there.

I have to do something about this …. i just have to figure out, what …
