I found my 10k, on May 4th, 2008. I have the 5k at the end of January, and then will do this one at the beginning of May.

I have a reasonably good fitness level, but haven’t ever run more than two and a half miles, so I went to the info meeting today for a group that trains together and benefits the Cancer Center here. Sort of like Team in Training, but more mellow. I start training after Labor Day (Tuesday, Sept 4th), which gives about 10 weeks for the 10k. I’m excited! The group seems very fun and supportive-and I need that kind of motivation to get going. I will run with group two days a week, one of which is our long run, and then two easy runs on my own also during the week. I also signed up for a 5k on October 21st.
