I did my 10 minutes, even though I wasn’t feeling well. It did make me feel a little better, actually!

10 minutes before my son wakes up has not been working out…he has been getting up earlier and earlier! I practiced today for 10 minutes after he fell asleep for his first nap instead. Yesterday I practiced while my husband played with my son and I had dinner started. I think my success in establishing some amount of practice every day will be in carving out opportunities to do so. I haven’t done the mom & baby yoga DVD in about a week, so maybe today or tomorrow would be a good time to do that again. I saw some yoga videos for toddlers online, so that may be a good way to ensure some practice for both of us when my son gets a little older.
That is my new goal, and that is in addition to doing the postnatal DVD with my baby. I’d like to do the 10 minutes in the morning before my son wakes up, but I don’t want to wake him up in the process. Today and yesterday I practiced during his morning nap, and it was refreshing.
I started yoga and pilates a couple summers ago, and at that time I had never felt better. Just having a baby 4 months ago, I need to get back into it—not just for the physical aspect, but the mental and spiritual as well. So as of now, I’m trying to do postnatal mom & baby yoga (with a DVD) a few times a week. But what I need to do is carve out a regular time each day for SOME yoga, even just a few minutes…
