spend more time with my sister

She’s over right now!

She’ll be staying with me next week so that is great! I’m happy, it’s been a long time since she was over for any amount of time (a year and a half ago!).

I also saw her this past weekend.

Saw her this weekend for a couple hours, unfortunately I forgot her gifts at my house, so I’ll have to give them to her over Thanksgiving.

Going to the small town (where I grew up) this weekend. Should be able to see some people, including my little sister. Should be fun. I need to stop by Target and pick up these frames you decorate that I saw the other day for her. She likes stuff like that.

I was in Maine last week, I bought her a couple little things…can’t wait to give them to her. I also bought some fundraiser stuff (junk) from her…that means that she has to see me to get my cash ;)

Went to a soccer game 3 weeks ago, and saw her for my dads 50th birthday party. She is growing up! She has called me a couple times in the last few weeks, so that is a big stride.

So, I drove up there with my fiancee to fix “the mess”. She seemed ok…and we told her that she could call anytime to come spend time with us. She is 12 now, and has never asked to come stay with me. Granted the two hours distance between us is prohibitive, but it wouldn’t stop me from picking her up on a Friday. Hopefully she calls sometime.

Well, she was supposed to come down this weekend, but my parents convinced her not to come down. So ultimately, I didn’t get to see her, it pisses me off to no end. I’m the only one of my family not to live in the same small town, or at least a few minutes away…yet when I make extended efforts to see my family I get shot down. It has been over two month since I’ve seen her.

On the bright side, my brother, his wife, and my little niece came down and spent two days with us. We had fun! Unfortunatley, my sister wasn’t there.

This weekend my little sister is coming down with my brother, his wife, and my niece. It should be fun. Haven’t seen any of them in about 2 months, so it will be nice to catch up some.

I’m going to try to get home next weekend, but don’t know if I’ll be able to. We have a wedding rehearsal on Friday and the wedding on Saturday. If I could get home it would be nice, but we’ll see. Ugg…too busy! I need one extra day a week and bam, it would be so much better.
