learn sign language

I started about a month ago, and the classes are going really well. I’m pretty excited. I can sign useful things now like starbucks and taco bell. I kid. I joke.

Pretty excited about this. Started with the basics, like finger spelling, but I’m really glad I’m learning.

We are almost at the end of our deaf conference at my church. We have had some deaf preachers come and preach and I was also part of the sign choir. This was very eye openning. I never realized the loneliness that someone who is deaf must feel in church when there is no one who can communicate with them in sign. That is the exact opposite of how church should feel. I really feel a burden for this now. We’ll see what happens. I hope I don’t just putter out. I hope I stick with this one.
