But based on Wolf’s suggestion, I should at least have a live CD which I can use…

But also, it would probably be good for me to install a Linux system and learn how to configure it (such as adding devices to my system).

Flash drive better than alternate hard drive? 3 years ago

Booting up from a USB flash drive would be a more practical solution for my ThinkPad… but I would need to buy a USB flash drive first. Ah, I always love an excuse to go shopping!

Installed Linux but... 3 years ago

OK, so I’ve installed Fedora Core.. but in order to get full use out of Linux, I need to learn how to install drivers… because apparently, the wireless part of my ThinkPad was not part of the base, and what I’ve read so far, I would have to recompile in order to get wireless working… Uhhhh…
