Been doing series of twenty/thirty pushups every day since wednesday. It’s not too hard but my arms do hurt a bit during the rest of the day, maybe I should go a little easier ? I don’t wanna look like Hulk, just be good skinny as opposed to bad skinny.
I’m trying to do abs too but I’m not good at them : it hurts and I can’t seem to move my torso up without some help from my legs, which, I seem to recall, is not the proper way. Then again I don’t know anything much about exercising, I was very bad at sports as a kid and got mocked a lot and so I’ve always stayed away from them as much as possible, even when I started caring about my appearance. Wish I had a free coach or something. There are plenty of, I’m sure, helpful videos on youtube of course, but much like the cut-your-own-hair videos and such, they seem very hard to watch without wanting to roundhouse-kick the person in the video in their smug face. It’s easier to learn from someone you actually want to relate to !
Well, I went to the swimming pool late this evening totally out of the blue (since it’s open until 11pm during summer) and swam some. That’s the closest thing to exercising I’ve done since june.
I hadn’t been to the swimming pool in… easily seven years (apart from maybe a couple of times at a hotel). I felt self-conscious about wearing just swimming trunks and that silly cap in front of other people, and quite vulnerable with my bony torso, bruises and regrowing hairs in plain sight, but I just got over it. I still swim more like a puppy than an actual human but it feels like workout enough. My goggles were too tight and left red circles on my face for a good half hour after I took them off. I’ve got water in my right ear, it won’t go >_< !
I want to keep going as often as possible because I’m in lurve and I have to look gewd.
All right so let’s start small :
- I want to find another job before september.
- I’d like to be dating again before september.
Okay, that’s no small business at all :|
