I’ve been singing with my church’s band for a couple years now and am happy to say I have managed to sing harmony. I am usually NOT the one singing harmony, as I am a soprano and used to carrying the melody, but I’ve managed enough to be satisfied with myself. I plan to keep pursuing this goal over the long-term so I can do an entire song in harmony but the little flourishes I’ve added here and there are enough for me to call this goal done.

I actually did some cadences yesterday during one of our songs that needed some pepping up for one part. I had a hard time finding my note but I know it will come with practice.
I sing at church with the band every Sunday during our contemporary service. I am very shy about trying to sing harmony though, even though I know they really need me to be able to do so for some songs. I am going to be working on the songs while I work on my piano goal and try to teach myself the harmony while I go.
