grow a beard

I’ve been passed the itchy phase for a little while now, so I’m going to call this goal completed. What started out as a fantasy playoff beard (I lost in the semi-finals) has turned out to be the ultimate Halloween accessory.

The beard is coming along – it’s now at that “Jake Gyllenhaal attending an award show” stage. Suffice to say, I have high hopes for it.

I have started this goal by growing a Fantasy Baseball Playoff Beard. Please wish my team, my new facial hair, and Manny’s right patellar tendinitis the best of luck.

My wife is a little skeptical about this one, but I’ve gotten her to at least semi-agree on a “Dad beard” when we have kids – I think that’s fair. So anyways, I’ll have to shelf this one until the little ones come along. By then I’ll be able to shave it off and really freak them out when their Dad is gone and this strange man is holding them. I’ll have to bring candy…
