To me Jim Morrison is a God. He had the most amazing voice,and from old videos I’ve seen he was an amazing performer. His songs have stood the test of time. I know it sounds stupid but I have a picture of Ray Manzarek’s (keyboardist for The Doors) autograph that I found at a Hard Rock Cafe in Lousiville (ky) and to me, that makes me sooooo fuckin cool. Whenever I get lucky enough to stumble across an actual video of him on the internet I’m just totally enthralled, he was such a fastinating person. He died 12 years before I was born, so obviously, I will never meet him. But I want to meet someone that was a REAL friend of his before he was famous and after. I would just love to hear stories of what he was really like. (And if Ican’t find someone that was a real and true friend, I would settle for someone that had sex with him, I just wanna touch her hand.)
When I heard about Sam Bernett writing a book about how he “really” died I was pissed. This guy is trying to say that he died in a toilet stall at a night club in Paris and 2 body guards drug him back to his apartment. I think this man is full of shit, he’s just in it for the money. He says he never said anything about it before because he didn’t want bad press for the nighclub he managed. I call BULLSHIT. He never said it before because it isn’t fuckin true, it took him 36 years to make this shit up. And on the off-chance that they did find him in the stall, why in the fuck didn’t anyone call an ambulance? So to me, if this guy isn’t a TOTAL liar (which he is) then he killed the fucking Lizard King. He wouldn’t have died like that, it’s not dignified. Until this, everything I’ve ever heard or read about him was that he died in the bathtub. Dying in the tub is absolutely poetic, and he was a poet. So, unless Jim Morrison comes back from the dead to tell ME PERSONALLY that he didn’t die in the tub then I will believe it. But odds are that’s not gonna happen.
Sorry, didn’t mean to go off on a rant but no one I know really gives a shit about my VERY strong feelings and opinions about this.
