go to Africa

I have the chance to study at a university in Africa for a semester or two! I am so excited at this possibility! On the financial side, I would save a lot of money on tuition, and on the personal side… well, I just want to be there! I still have to apply and make sure my credits will transfer back to Whitworth, but I’m pretty sure I can go.

Assuming I am accepted.

I think I’m supposed to spend my life in Africa. I want to start a philanthropic organization that focuses on developing infrastructure necessary for access to clean water and sanitation services.

Over 1 billion people don’t have access to clean water
2.6 billion people don’t have access to basic sanitation

I want to bring those numbers down.
