When I was a kid we used to go camping every summer at Thorney Island. It’s on a small peninsula on a disused airfield. To the north the nearest lights a couple of miles away, to the south is the English Channel. At night, we used to lie on our backs and look for shooting stars…..I’d like to do that again!
