Save up six months worth of living expenses

All saved up. I put it into a 5% CD and I’m good to go.

Next up… house savings… >:-(

I had all the money saved up, but then we bought an almost new car and paid 85% with cash. That set me a little back, but I’m still close to the goal (I’ve got 4 months).

Haven’t made much progress on this recently.

We’ve had to go on a bunch of flights recently, and the wife’s graduate tuition took a bite out of the savings.

Just about got three months worth of living expenses saved up! Half way there!

I need to take these funds out of my checking account and put them into a laddered CD or something.

We spend about $2 grand a month on stuff. I’ve got half that much stored away in that savings account. Lots more should be coming soon…
