Benny Hin 10 months ago

I was watching Benny Hin on TV a few weeks ago and I was shocked at what I saw. He was telling his audience some story about how he gave $1000 to someone who needed it and then a few weeks later he started receiving money from people which was supposedly from God because of his good deed. After talking about how wonderful God is for a while he asked the people for donations. They gave him envelopes with $1000 in them. He then said that if they couldn’t afford $1000 then even $100 was fine. He was asking poor people to give him the little bit of money that they had because God would give it back to them 10 fold. It all sounds a lot like The Secret to me.

I can’t believe that a Christian would steal money from people like that and the worst part of it is the idiots who believed that God would reward them for giving. He probably told them all that he was going to give the money to charity but in my experience christian evangelists prefer keeping the money for themselves.

It is totally against what Jesus teaches in The Bible. Christians claim that it is not wrong to have lots of money but it is wrong to love money. Jesus gave up all his possessions to become a religious preacher. He expected his disciples to give up their possessions too. He said that it is harder for a rich man to get into heaven than for a camel to go through the eye of a needle. It is clear that when he said you shouldn’t love money what he meant was that you should give it away freely because you don’t love it. Christians are a bunch of hypocritical assholes and insist that when Jesus said they should not love money it actually means that they should try gain as much of it as possible. They refuse to give too much of their money away because they love their money no matter how much they think they don’t. Real christians would give all of their money away to poor people except for the little bit they needed to survive on.

Christians don’t worry about ignoring the teachings of Jesus because they know that they won’t be punished because God doesn’t exist and Jesus was a fraud if he even existed.

Using Bible verses out of context 12 months ago

I was watching a televangelist on TV and I was interested in how he was quoting verses from the Bible and giving them his own meaning that had nothing to do with what the verses actually mean when you read the whole story in the Bible. I have read some of the Bible and also the part that the televangelist was reading so I am amazed at how he could have come to the conclusions that he did.

He said that Moses asked to see the glory of God. He then said that God showed Moses his glory. Then he said that anyone can see the glory of God if they ask him. In the real story in the Bible Moses wanted God to prove that he existed and God said that he would walk past him and let him see his back because if he saw the front of him he would die. The word glory is used to refer to God himself and not the glory that God provides as the televangelist was saying.

It makes me wonder if he has ever actually read the Bible. I know that most christians couldn’t be bothered to read it even though it is supposed to be the most important book in their life. Preachers are always quoting verses out of context and that is the way that most christians learn about christianity.

The reason why ministers can’t read whole stories from the Bible is because there are some seriously crazy things that people don’t want to hear. One example is one of the ten commandments that says a man must be put to death for working on a Saturday(Sabath). They also want to avoid the stuff about putting gays to death and condoning slavery.

If you have to quote things out of context to avoid all the problems in the Bible then maybe it isn’t the perfect word of God after all. The fact is that the Bible is full of fantasies and nonsense and that is why I can’t bring myself to believe in it.

Reading the bible 14 months ago

I started reading the bible a week or two ago. I want to read it because I would like to properly understand what I am arguing against.

So far I have read Genesis and Exodus. I know I don’t believe in that stuff but I have found reading the bible incredibly interesting. You have to remember that a lot of our culture is based on what is said in the bible which is why I have found it so interesting to read it. I never knew in my whole life why christians and especially jews got circumsized but now that I have read about it in the bible I know why. I feel like I have a new understanding of their crazy ways and I think I will be able to argue against them a lot better now.

Invited people on facebook 15 months ago

I invited all the hardcore christians in my list of friends in facebook to join the Richard Dawkins group. Most of them ignored the invitation but one of them actively declined it. The fact that she declined it tells me that she at least must have taken a look at the group and got the idea into her mind even if she doesn’t accept it now.

There is one guy who keeps on setting his status to some inspirational message about god. I find it hard to believe that he is so interested in god because he was such a liar, thief and a bastard when we were at school. I think that he is putting on a show of believing in god to convince people that he is a good guy.

I would like to tell all christians that the vatican budgets millions of dollars each year for abuse claims against catholic priests. What they are saying is that they support the sexual abuse of young boys and girls by catholic priests and they actively support it in their budget with millions of dollars. If it was a company then the offenders would have been fired but the church gets special permission from god to commit all sorts of terrible crimes. I am shocked at how christians can support this kind of thing.

How to convert them 15 months ago

I have never converted anyone to atheism before so I don’t know where to start and what to do. I imagine it works in the same way that christians use to convert non-believers.

The big problem with religious people is that they strongly believe that crazy stuff. You can’t have an argument with them about it because they are not into accepting things like science.

I would like to find a way to convert them, that has been used successfully by other atheists in the past.

It's not enough to not believe 15 months ago

I used to think that it was OK to just ignore christians because it was their own problem if they wanted to believe in god. I have done a lot of thinking about all the things that christians have done and I am no longer willing to just sit idle and let them get away with all the terrible things that they do.

It amazes me that they believe the crap that is written in the bible. I have no idea how they can believe that there is a magical invisible wizard in the sky and they have never seen him but they just know that he is there because some scrolls that were found in a cave told them so.

I don’t like the way that christianity is made to look like a good thing and that christians are made out to be good and honest people when they are almost always the worst sinning savages that history has ever seen. I will not allow them to force their bullshit on everyone and I will make sure that I convert as many people to atheism as I can.
