Dear 43 Things Users,

10 years after introducing 43 Things to the world, we have decided we have met our last goal: completing the incredible experience that has been 43 Things. Please join us in giving one last cheer to all the folks who have shared their goals with the world, as well as all the people who have worked at The Robot Co-op to build this incredible website. We won a Webby Award, published a book, and brought happiness to a lot of people.

Starting today, 43 Things users can export their goals and entries from the site. Starting August 15, we will make the site “read only”. 43 Things users will still be able to view the site and export their content, but we won’t be taking any new content from users. We hope to leave the site up for folks to see and download their content until the end of the year. Ending on New Year’s Eve takes us full circle.

It has been a long ride (one of our original goals was to "build a company that lasts at least 2 years” - we beat that one!) While we wish the site could live on, it has suffered from a number of challenges - changes in how people use the site, the advertising industry, and how search engines view the site. We wish the outcome was different – but we’ve always been realistic about when our goals are met and when they aren't.

As of today, you will be able to download your goals and entries. See more about that on the FAQ page. Thanks for 10 great years of goal-setting and achieving.

0931 the engines ignite

So my ICAS thing now says competent.
So I’ve done this now.
It’s being fully qualified (with the work experience) and then what’s next. Which really depends on me applying for jobs and in turn getting it; although that’s a different story.

A three dimensional map of missing spaces

Once I get interviewed – and then well actually that’s it.
This will be done. I have to do work experience to get the letters but the actual qualification will be done.

They say it's got a retractable leg to jump up at you better

With the third submission of my ICAS project there are I think two more steps for this to be complete.
Although you do need to do some work experience stuff so then you get the letters after you name. I’ll have to think about the next steps now – basically ACA or ACCA I’d rather ACA but I don’t think that would work because of how it’s done almost.

Well this is awkward

I’ve had emails from my two tutors asking if I was okay because I’ve not really done anything. No one’s fault but mine I just kept putting stuff off and all; so I think I’ve not caught up but more ticked some boxes. And got back on the horse I’m reading and doing the test. For one I’m two weeks behind for the other I’m the whole course almost behind.

FNST - Lesson 9

Another lesson another test, got it wrong.
Some questions just silly things. In fact one I got wrong as it said ‘and’ not ‘or’ as part of a whole paragraph so fuck you test.
The rest was I had the right idea but…
Then we did some more stuff but nothing super complicated (but I always say that)
Need to revise and book my exam. Probably the evening session on the 27th of June that way no days out of work.

FNST - Lesson 8

Found out that I’ve only got a few lessons left – so really need to book my exam and revise and all.
Today’s thing went okay but really as always I need to go over all this stuff and learn it for real you know what I mean

FNST - Lesson 7

We went over some IAS’ today so I nailed them but then when we did some statements I didn’t do so well.
Plus I still need to write out the standards and all; never mind going over the old units.
We just did a test, then went over liabilities really. It’s groups next week. I do have homework.

FNST - Lesson 6

Although this was obviously a whole lesson, it was only on one thing really and rather quick. Just about tangible and intangible assets and IAS’ linked to it and all
I’ve decided especially as we seem to be going into IAS to get some cue cards and write the number on one side and the title and description on the other side. Really need to revise and all.

FNST - Lesson 5

Okay not that it matters but sorry this is late.
Anyway the lesson went quite well we just did cash flows really and some question bank well questions.
When we did it I got the themes and all so it’s okay. Just more revision needed really.

Exam news

Got an email today informing me about my FNPF result.
So another one done. Winner.
Need to revise and move on with this one now.
