Bicycle 5,000 miles in 2007

Well on my way to this goal, but I’d feel much more confident if I could crack 4,000 by Sept. 1, which would give me far more bad-weather-wiggle-room come 4th quarter.

I’m feeling like I’m on target at this point, given the mileage I’ll be doing in August. Fall remains the big question mark, especially if the weather turns nasty like last year’s floods and snows.

The wheel that went haywire was repaired this morning, and I’ve ordered another set that should be here in the next couple of weeks, so I’m hopeful I won’t be impeded by any more mechanical problems as I try to pile on the miles in preparation for STP and RAW.

My year-to-date total would appear to be on target. I will be racking up some big miles over the couple of months, so I should be able to attain this goal if I can stay focused when the weather turns crappy in the 4th quarter.
