kitchen herb garden planted! 6 months ago

A new garden was installed in an area not far from my kitchen door. (now I just have to find a permanent home for the daylilies that were moved out of the area)

The garden is planted, everything is settling in, once transplant shoch has subsided I am sure there will be an some major growth.

Chives 15 months ago

Chives have popped up in the garden in some unusual places – the result of someone’s seeds being tossed about sometime in the past I guess. Seems like this goal got a start without me, well, at least it will really start once I transplant them.

Plant A Row For Hunger 15 months ago

As the project develops, I see where the Herb Garden will become a part of the Plant A Row for Hunger efforts in which I am partaking. In the case of the herbs, as a fresh salad is included in all the meals at the soup kitchen, I forsee some fresh herbs finding their way into salads as well as the meals.

I am currently trying to decide on two places for the garden – there is some time to decide as I plan to have the space worked out by this autumn with all the soil prep and the like done, and start planting the herb garden in the spring.
