Hmmmmm – in looking around my neighborhood I see a lot of lawn signs for Barack Obama, not so many for McCain, but there are a ton of signs for that other guy – why haven’t any of the new media done any election coverage for Coldwell Banker?

I find some of the discussions about the candidates interesting.
There are people who are gung-ho for their candidate, others who instead of supporting their candidate do a lot name calling towards the other candidate, and still others who like to through fairly derogatory names at specific supporters of candidates. (just because someone likes John McCain doesn’t make them a bigot or stupid, and seriously, other than some of the recent dirty campaign ads John McCain hasn’t expressed bigotry in his term in Senate)
There is a major difference between chastising celebrities and personal attacks. People on both sides of the election need to understand that. There is a real difference between stating that candidate x made a real bozo move by doing y, and stating that 43things person x is a $#^x%x for supporting a candidate.
Of course there is the side of taking a critique of a candidate as some sort of personal attack. Each of the guys running for office is a millionaire, seriously, if someones post on 43things about a candidate not being “all that and a bag of chips” the world will not end. These are tough guys running for office, but they are not perfect. Making a fair and honest assesment of a candidate is not invaliding the person who wrote the entry, its just a coutnerppoint to what was written about a candidate.
Regardless of what happens a month from now, the sun will rise on the day after election day, it always does in America, and given how evenly divided this great nation is, today is the best time for us to start realizing that we all have more in common than differences.
I’m John Lee, and I approved this message.
Hurricane Ike struck Texas September 11 2008, there are still about 300 people from Texas missing since the store, the first, yes first, organized search for bodies in the debris fields is scheduled for today Octiber 2 2008.
Wall Street needs a bailout and whoosh, resources are on their way in a matter of days, storm victims once again are worthless. Lord Jesus, I wonder if God would bless America or damn America for this ineptitude.
Hmmmm. Since the Neo-Cons have included “Starbucks” among the list of sins of “elitists” I wonder what they think of this shot of Cindy McCain boarding the Straight Talk Express?
Authorities evacuating residents from New Orleans ahead of Hurricane Gustav are making amends with four-legged friends after thousands of pets perished in Hurricane Katrina three years ago.
Animal welfare groups tried to make sure that evacuees had their pets with them, while shelters away from the Gulf Coast accommodated animals this time around.
Many owners stayed in the city during the catastrophic 2005 hurricane because they could not take their pets to shelters and could not bear to leave without them.
Here, members of the Humane Society of Missouri carry a crated dog for toward a truck bound for Shreveport where he will be reunited with his human in a day or so.
So last week in church we were told that everything in our lives comes from God …
... this week I looked around my house and except for my car which came from Japan, everything else is from China …
... so somebody is not telling the truth
Jeero wonders, if America is all about individual freedom, and Americans live for their cars, why are all the cars the same dull colours?
OMG – I want to get sick, or have an asteroid hit the church, or something, I need to get out of this!
It’s all craft crap. Everything is about crayons and stuff like that. I am not even sure where the Bible part comes into it.
No wonder why they had a hard time getting people to participate.
It’s like the morning program schedule of HGTV with that Carol Duvall woman! No worse, because there is all this guilt associated with it, and I cannot just quit because its a church thing.
Oh the next two weeks are really going to suck. Big time.
I have to learn the word “no.”
I wonder if we’ll find out that many 43T-ers were on Oceanic 815. It seems that most of the people with whom I chatted with early on seem to have disappeared, except for Faith. Perhaps that’s the big secret that the island will reveal. And perhaps that’s why the production company is called ‘Bad Robot’
This is one of the angel murals that were done in my church sometime in the early 20th century. Doesn’t she look a lot like Drew Barrymore ?
It’s in Grace Church (Episcopal) in Nutley NJ
