Thanks-getting 1 week ago

Before we can do all the Thanksgiving stuff there is a lot of Thanks-getting that needs to be done!

So what do we need to get to make the Thanksgiving meal complete?

Sex Trade Citizens 2 weeks ago

Today the FBI has conducted raids across the country and current estimates are that 52 children have been freed from the sex trade in the US. (details are still emerging)

In the past some of the children and yougn adults being held captive in the US were discovered to have been brought into the country illegally just to be enslaved. (some were orphans, others were sold by their family) Should the laws in the US be amended so that these children are allowed to stay in this country if they wish?

Have you connected 43things to Facebook?

Are just our entries (the main thing we write under a goal)posted on Facebook, or are all entries and subsequent comments posted?

I’m thinking of making the connection but am not sure …

Toilet Talk - A Power Source 4 weeks ago

We’re all familiar with the idea of hydroelectric dams : falling water spins turbines to produce electricity.

I wonder if anyone has thought of the power of waste water? Think of all that toilet and sink water that “falls” in high rise buildings; add to that all the waste water that “falls” from the suburbs is gravity fed to sewage treatment plants miles away.

Does anyone know if anyone has even thought of falling wastewater as a power source?
