duh, I have embraced the concept of automation for other areas of my life but somehow neglected it for the blogosphere, did I mention that I was born blonde…

...anyhow there are certain parts of Black Tie and Flip Flops that lend themselves perfectly to automation : recipes, imponderables, haiku, and a few of the other themes that often can be done in an afternoon but are better served to appear over the course of weeks.

On Blogger there is a feature to future date entries allowing the blog to be updated on a regular basis. Being a former magazine marketing wonk, a field in which things like Christmas issues were planned in July and August, you would think I would have grabbed this concept early on.

I was born blonde, that’s my story and I am sticking with it!

I just added the Poll feature to my blog. Since I have this thing about asking random questions (it’s only second to the Daily Gratitude goal for the most entries I have made here) I thought a poll might be an interesting feature.

Since I wrote so often about Marley and Me when I first read the book years ago, I thought that might be a good random place to start. We’ll know soon if the poll feature will remain.

there are times when I have time to write a great deal, and other times when the rest of my life takes center stage and blogging is the last thing on my mind

I have started writing “words that should be in the dictionary” and have parked them in a folder so I can publish them on the days when I just don’t have time to write
(it helps make it look like I write every day!)

I have been adding a significant amount of material to my blog in the last few days, of course Jeero is always looking to see what I write about him.

krazee busy lately so blogging ranks way down on the to-do list but I have a few tiny entries lately plus a few photos (jeero of course) ....

documenting the on going adventures will be one of the continuing themes of my blog, it also pushes me to take more pictures which is another goal.

Jeero likes being the subject of a blog, except he tends to hog my computer a great deal now.

bits and pieces of real substance are slowly filling my blog, it’s becoming a daily activity -

I’ve been adding a lot of filler lately – short quotes, a few photos, that cheering smiley face that I am so fond of – I need to really work on this.

When I write I become more aware of the world around me and what I can do to make my presence productive. I have to blog more. Just have to.

I’ve been doing goofy and silly entries on my blog lately, nothing really substantial of late. I go through these phases of serious topics and comments and then very lighthearted, and often silly, posts. Gotta stretch and do more of the serious stuff.
