The next step — 2 years ago
We need to stop turning the heat up, particularly since natural gas has become so expensive. Last year we tried to get fluorescent bulbs in all our fixtures. Unfortunately, they don’t work with or fit in our fixtures so we’re stuck with some expensive dimmable fluorescent lightbulbs we can’t use. Really, however, conserving energy works best when you start with the big things (driving, heating, washing and drying clothes, refrigerating, washing dishes) and then move down to the lower energy things.
