Funny how this stuff works.
I have tried all of my life to be nice. To be respectful. A couple of years ago I left a very good job because my boss was a real pain in the %$#. As a result of leaving that job, I went to grad school, graduated with an MBA recently and will be starting a new job on the 21st of July.
My new job will be higher paying, with a wider scope of authority and responsibility than that held by my former boss. Plus, I got a huge pay raise.
The irony is, of course, that I am here now on the verge of my “new life” because my former boss was not nice.
So: Is the whole idea of being nice flawed or is just a matter of Karma?
