So, I’m going to mark this done, even though I’m only at the very beginning. I’ve completed the PHP segment of the class I’m taking, now I still have my school project to complete, which involves storing and retrieving data in XML files. I also used PHP to make a really simple templated site.
I don’t think I will feel really confident in this lanuage until I work on a big project, preferably something database driven. But my goal wasn’t to become an expert… at least not this goal.

Yep, I’m in the thick of my class, but like I mentioned in my entry about beadwork, there never seems to be enough time. Having a lot to do is stressing me out, but I have to remember that the learning is good.
Its pretty neat what you can do with PHP. Back-end stuff has been somewhat of a mystery to me, so its nice that things are becoming demystified.
After I make it through this class, I’d like to apply what I’ve learned for my own project. I could work on my goal to Redo my Beadwork Website, perhaps…

I’m taking a web coding class now—seven weeks of PHP and six weeks of Ruby. We had our first lecture on PHP this week. Nice to know I’m going to make progress on this goal.

Signed up for Web Coding 4 class for next semester—seven weeks of PHP and seven weeks of Ruby.
I don’t think I’ll make too much effort to work on this goal until then, but that’s okay. I know the class will be a lot of work, but I’m looking forward to it.

Okay, maybe I can ease my way into this with a wordpress blog. Perhaps one about electricity (Elsey?).
I’ve got CSS down pretty well (if I do say so myself, although I’m not at guru status yet), but I really don’t know how to program at all. I know some Javascript, but I don’t know much of anything when it comes to server-side stuff.
