Singing aloud

Recently, one of my friends said something that made me wonder if I really had a good singing voice, or if it was just something people told me because it was the polite thing to say. It’s made me clam up and just not want to sing anymore for fear that I’m actually one of those people you see during the audition rounds of [Insert Country Here] Idol who have delusions of talent.
But singing is something I’ve always enjoyed, and I shouldn’t let an imagined slight stop me! So what if my neighbours can all hear me sing because our houses are packed in so tight? Let them enjoy the free music! :D
