For the past four days, I’ve been memorizing Bible verses—one every day. It’s not difficult at all, and every day I have a fresh piece of advice to guide me. Today I made some really good choices by having a piece of Scripture in my mind. However, I need to work on memorizing the chapter numbers that go with them so I know where they’re located. Next thing, I’m going to start memorizing Romans 5, hopefully finishing by Novemer 20th.
Just for my own practice, here’s what I’ve got so far.
“I am crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me, and the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me.”
“Enter through the narrow gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it, but small is the gate and narrow is the path that leads to life, and only a few find it.”
“These things I [Jesus] have told you that in Me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
“Be joyful always; pray continually; thank the Lord in all circumstances, for this is the will of God for you in Jesus Christ.” (the second part of that was supposed to be, “give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”)
