Married her: check.

Kate and I got married on the 6th of December 2008. It was the best day of our lives; Kate looked incredible, The day ran so smoothly, so many fantastic people turned up to celebrate with us.

I love being married. We’re looking forward to the rest our our many years of marriage. 68 years like grandad sounds good to us!

So I’m well on the way to completing this goal.

We got engaged two weeks ago and I’m so excited, happy, blessed.

Getting married is inevitable now, and we are so committed to making this for life :) So I won’t be able to check this off for many many years. Not that I mind one little bit.

My Granddad and Grandma were married for 68 years. It was so special for Granddad to have so many family and friends with him as he said goodbye to his best friend and wife on Saturday. He was so in love with her and will miss her terribly. He kept saying as he wept “She was so good to me, we are so so fortunate to have had her.” I want to be able to say that when I’m 93.
