Declutter the dining room

Dining room is looking better and better. Christmas was a good time to do the whole purge thing. Now let’s see how long it takes for the table to get cluttered again.

That wasn’t why I wanted my dining room table decluttered .. but boy does it work out nicely!!! I have the light directly overhead, I’m not in anyones way – and I can clean up easily enough should we want to use the table for it’s intended purpose.

You know … it’s absolutely amazing what you will do when you have invited people over to your house. In this case it’s family, but still, they don’t come over EVERY DAY.

We PURGED the dining room. Oh how nice it felt. Table was cleared and decorated. PILES that had babies were dispersed. Such a wonderful feeling.

One week after new years now .. and the table is filled AGAIN. I can thankfully say, this time it’s not my junk .. but my dh love of the game YU GI OH. Cards are laid out all over the table so he can organize.

The clutter WILL END .. I KNOW it will … but can’t it be just a little sooner than later???

DH and I were talking about this morning.

The ultimate goal is to paint the dining room, new carpeting, add chair and crown moulding … maybe wainscoating? NEW dining room set … there are mismatched pieces. This whole room ends up being a clutter bug.

Problem is .. we never set a date. We talk and talk and nothing ever gets accomplished.

one quick thing to do … put in a dimmer. wonder which year it’s going to happen?
