i totally ignore this goal all the time, but i really shouldn’t. i was just listening to a tosca song and noticed that one of the sounds mixed in is someone’s beatboxing. it sounded so cool. it occurred to me that part of the skill is sounding relaxed and natural with it. i practice so rarely that when i do, my beats are all wooden and kind of lifeless. would not be the case if i practiced more. plus, it’s fun. i don’t know why i don’t practice all the time. silly me.

youtube is full of videos like this. here’s a particularly useful one i found: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O1qdyF2NDfw&NR=1
like most things, it’s just going to be a matter of practicing. learning the sounds, the beats, and then doing them over and over.
