well – I’ve finished part 1 and started part 2. Phew… I guess that’s a mere 500 or so pages to go then!

the only prob is picking up after a few years, there’s more subplot than plot and it takes a while to realise what you’re reading is the tale someone they’ve bumped into is telling! Hey ho with any luck we’ll be done with part 1 for christmas.
