call mom more often

My dad has Alzheimers. Its getting pretty bad, and my mom is still his sole caretaker. They have been together for almost 50 years, and I know she doesn’t want to put him in a home, but at some point she’s going to have to. Moving 350 miles away was a heart-wrenching decision. In some ways, I feel like I have abandoned her. I should be there to help her like she’s been there for me all my life. The least I can do is pick up the phone and call her.
