keep a journal for the rest of my life

like my new journal (as mentioned in the last entry). It’s too big and it’s not all that welcoming. However, as a modest stocking stuffer, I got a little, plain, brown journal that fits in my rather small purse. Ever since I got it, I’ve been writing in it more than I’ve ever written in a journal. The pages are small, and the cover just says “ideas,” which is a big change from my old journal with big pages and lots of quotes and frills that didn’t really fit. I like it.

I just gathered together all of my old journals and realized that I have been keeping them (not regularly) since 1996. That’s a long time. I’ve been keeping a journal pretty regularly (especailly in the summer) since 2004. And I just declared my old journal finished (even though it still had, like, 20 pages left in it) and bought a new one that I really like.

I think that I will keep a journal for the rest of my life…because I like keeping records to help me remember past events.
