Baby camels

Abdul, our driver, told me that they had 2 baby camels in the back and asked me if I wanted to see. I didn’t hesitated and followed him to bush where the babies and their mother were standing. They are about 3 months old and still looked afraid of people. I walked slowly and got closer to one of them. When I reached him and saw that he wasn’t so scared of me, I touched and finally hugged him..

2 humped-camel

When we arrived in Nubra Valley, on the way to the guesthouse, we stopped by at the sand dune where camel riding was being serviced. I picked the biggest one, the first one that I saw when I arrived there. He has a name too but I didn’t remember. He is 20 years old and lives until 25. We rode camels for 15 minutes and it cost us 150 Rupee. Everyone was excited and loved the experience.
