This has been going really well, and has re-invigorated me. I have nearly finished the first book and will get the second one, perhaps for Xmas. They also do a jazz and blues style in the same series – so I may look into that…

Spoke to my piano teacher about this a couple of weeks ago and I suggested that we ‘take it down a peg or two’ so that I can play tunes more independently and therefore be more motivated. Have returned to book I started with and this seems to be helping. Will continue with it during the hols when I don’t have lessons and see how I go.
