live for Christ

shortly after I made my last entry. I feel like I am doing what God wants me to do and can see him moving in my life. It seems in the meantime, the Enemy has thrown every temptation at me. It is a struggle for me and the spiritual warfare is hot right now, but I am trying to keep my sword up and my armor on.

Funny how fast things can change. I still have the pull to go into leadership at my church. Things have happened over the past few days where I have felt pressured to step into the role. I do not mind the pressure once I get there. I want the pressure to enter the role to be from God, not because the people of the church want me to be in the position. It is flattering to have people enjoy hearing me and know that I am moving people, but in the position I feel I must have a “not I, but Christ” attitude. I need that attitude in all of life but especially in the leadership position. I want people to be moved because of Christ, not because of the words that I have spoken.

I have finally received some direction from God about how I can better serve in my community and my church. The cruel joke is that one door did not open…..three did! Now I have to figure out which door God wants me to pick. I am excited about whichever door I choose and however I am to serve Christ!
