My house is filled with kids toys! Everywhere, boxes and totes with toys the kids haven’t thought about in years take up space and make the house look like a mess!
I’ve been needing this yard sale to happen for years, but every time we start to sort, the kids won’t let anything go. Suddenly, crap they forgot about becomes precious toys they can’t live without.
So I’ve come up with an idea. I will sort their toys out, when they are at school. Then we hold the yard sale, and maybe if they see something they had been missing, they could save it. But playing up the idea that whatever money we make can go for new toys will hopefully make them give up things more easily.
I’m shooting for spring, but I’ll also leave this open. Who knows what will come up in spring that will require all of my free time.
