Own a dog

plus there’s nothing like watching a hot dog cool down… as long as you’re far enough away when they shake off the water!

my parents have nine dogs… yes NINE!!! 6 lurchers, 2 greyhounds & a feisty little manchester terrier. 2 of the lurchers are deaf, 1 is an ex-stray who can open the fridge & both of the greyhounds are super-relaxed ex-racers. you don’t want to be in the room after they’ve had tripe for supper… & that’s a lot of crap to clear up. but i’m going to home to dog-sit next week while my parents are on holiday & i can’t wait. having a whole pack means you can be thorougly entertained for hours watching their intriguing dynamics & hilarious antics… and every time i visit i want to bring at least 3 back with me. yay for the four-legged nutters!
